You’re laying on a cloud, being mauled by kittens, when you’re interrupted by the alarm on your phone.

*Snooze* x3

Well, now you’re running late. You rip the covers off, and go from 0-100 in 0.4 seconds. You whip through your morning routine, grab a coffee, and head out the door.

You maintain this pace through the rest of your day- reacting to whatever’s thrown at you, eating whatever’s easiest, and staying on high alert, since you don’t know what fresh hell is coming around the corner.

It’s 6:00 pm, your brain is fried, and your body’s exhausted. As you drive by the gym you’re reminded of your own goals. It would be nice to have the time and energy to workout and eat better. After all, you don’t want your current situation to be your ‘forever’ situation.

One day, you’d like to get your lean, healthy body back. It would be nice to feel powerful and energetic as you move through your day, rock your most stylish clothes, and feel confident in your relationship.

*Sigh*

That would be nice. Maybe tomorrow will be your day.

I’ve come to liberate you from ignorance with the latest in mobile technology. You’re flying a B-21 bomber over North Korea, dropping iPhone’s for all the people when you’re rudely interrupted by the alarm on your phone…

And the cycle starts all over again. And it continues forever.

That is, until you change it.

You’re stuck in a pattern, and not one that’s taking you where you want to go.

Now, this isn’t your fault. We’re wired for patterns, and breaking them can be extremely challenging.

But it can be done, and I’ll show you how anyone can do it.

The Reactive State

Right now, you’re living your life in a reactive state.

Each day, you hit the ground running, at the mercy of whatever life throws at you.

This leaves you exhausted, overwhelmed, and without any time to look after yourself. No workouts, fast food, and moving further away from the vision you have for yourself.

But when you shift from a reactive state to an intentional state, this all changes.

The Intentional State

Instead of reacting to whatever’s thrown at you, you decide how you want your day to play out.

First, you schedule your top priorities, including work, family, and most important, your health.

  • Instead of snoozing 3x, you pop out of bed (because how much better does 9 more minutes of sleep make you feel anyway?)
  • Instead of eating whatever’s easiest, you eat what you planned to eat.
  • Instead of feeling overwhelmed with a never-ending onslaught of tasks, you feel in control, focused, and calm.

You have more energy than usual because you didn’t spend the day in a reactive state. Instead of driving past the gym, this time you go in and crush it for 40 minutes!

Well, now you’re on a roll. You go home and fuel your body with the dinner you planned out the night before.

And that night, you reflect on your day.

You feel proud, you feel accomplished, and you’re excited about your new direction. Then you plan the next day.

You’re now on your way to new habits, new patterns, and that lean, healthy body.

Of course, life will throw some surprises at you, so your planning will need some flexibility. But by shifting from a reactive state to an intentional state, you make sure your top priorities are met.

That means you become a fit, confident, and unstoppable force.
